Although born in Coffeyville, Kansas, Brian considers his home town to be Copan, Oklahoma, a small town with a population of about 1000 persons north of Bartlesville.  He lived there for fifteen (15) years and attended the Copan Public School system from Kindergarten through High School.  While in High School, he played football as well as the baritone in the High School marching band.

He graduated from Copan High School in 1987 and went to college at Oklahoma City University. Brian majored in Chemistry and earned his Bachelor of Science degree in 1991.  He then answered his call to ministry and enrolled in Candler School of Theology at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.  There he earned a Masters of Divinity degree in 1994.

Brian began his career in ministry in June 1991 at the age of 22 when he was assigned as a full-time student local pastor to the Menlo and Bethel United Methodist Churches in the North Georgia Annual Conference.  He was ordained a deacon and became a probationary member of the Oklahoma Annual Conference in June 1993.  After graduating seminary in 1994, he returned to Oklahoma and served the Ryan United Methodist Church in southwest Oklahoma and was ordained an elder in June 1996.  In March 1997, he was assigned to the two point charge of Jet and Prairie Valley United Methodist Churches in Jet, OK.

Then in November 2000, he was appointed as the Associate Pastor of the First United Methodist Church of Broken Arrow, OK where he  served until his appointment to the Meadowcreek United Methodist Church in Collinsville, OK.  While at Broken Arrow First, he was primarily responsible for the areas of Adult Education, Adult & Family Ministries, Evangelism, and Missions.

It was during the beginning of his junior year at Oklahoma City University that Brian met an international student from Singapore named Gail Ho.  They began dating and four years later, on June 10, 1993, they were married.  On April 3, 2006, their daughter Janae became a forever part of their family when they adopted her in the People’s Republic of China.  Most of Brian and Gail’s free time is used up by the pleasure of being Janae’s parents.

Brian is in his third year as the pastor of Meadowcreek.  He enjoys leading the two different worship styles, teaching the Bible, and being apart of the Meadowcreek family.
